“For me the balmy airs are always blowing, its
summer seas flashing in the sun; the pulsing of its
surfbeat is in my ear; I can see its garlanded
crags, its leaping cascades, its plumy palms
drowsing by the shore, its remote summits floating
like islands above the cloud wrack; I can feel the
spirit of its wildland solitudes, I can hear the
splash of its brooks; in my nostrils still lives the
breath of flowers that perished twenty years ago. “
—Mark Twain

Hawaii really is a paradise, but if you can’t make it to the islands this summer, we have the next best thing, Tea with a Tropical Touch. This swingy, breezy tea will have us serving in our muumuus with hibiscus in our hair. You’re welcome to wear your favorite muumuu or Hawaiian shirt as well. Maybe a hat with tropical fruit or flamingo plumage–whatever suits your fancy! Chef Krissy and hubby Ethan, craft artistically designed ukuleles and we will have those on display. Also, our resident ukulele player, Alyssa, will grace us with some classic Hawaiian tunes. Sound like fun? It will be.

And of course we will have a delectable tropically inspired menu including:

  • Warm from the oven Coconut Scones,
  • Tropical Chopped Salad, with Homemade Dressing,
  • Teriyaki Chicken Skewers,
  • Cucumber Tea Sandwiches,
  • Egg Salad Tea Sandwiches,
